Sorry, no pics to post of stuff in progress today…
My laptop died. Luckily my hard drive is ok. I bought a hard drive enclosure yesterday, and was able to get most of what I hadn’t backed up off of it, and onto my external (back up) hard drive. There were a few files and folders that I needed into which Chase’s mac couldn’t see for some reason, so tonight I’ll bring all the hard drive doodads to dad’s computer and get the rest of it (artwork and emails)
But, my point of that was that with no laptop, it forces me to find something else to do – aka, work on the funeral dress. Haha.
Like I said I finished the ewok dress – I’m pretty happy with it – I think I want to go back and either add another set of holes for the neck lacing to go through, or shorten the neck lacing. I’m not sure which. I gotta do one or the other, I guess.
Mum helped me with the funeral dress cloak yesterday. It was so huge, with so much fabric, it was really hard to deal with. So she helped me wrangle it in and get it cut down to where I wanted it, and sewn together. Then I started dying. I left it out overnight drying, got it in this morning and hung it up in the laundry room until I get home from work today. It was still a little damp. Right now it’s a fairly nice light blue, a good base to start on with painting tonight. I also finished my wig.
